2.8mm~16mm Fixed IRIS Lens Set for Webcams and Security/CCTV Cameras (6-Lens Pack)
[E1014]

$13.70

They fit the tiny cheap "spy cameras" and others with M12x0.5mm threads. Just measure your current lens thread diameter and if it is 12mm these will fit.

Seem to be good quality lenses.

Each lens comes with a lens cap so don't freak out thinking they are designed for IR cameras only (like I did for a couple seconds).

Two things that were not good for me:
1) The iris (opening that tells how much light will be let in) in these lenses is apparently bigger than the lens that came off my cheap cmos camera, so my cheap camera (but it does have AGC as I suspect all do) washes out in outdoor light, even sitting in the shadow pointed away from the sun. Another possible explanation for the washed out picture outside is that the lens that came on the cheap CMOS camera had an InfraRed filter coating on it. The up side from this is that it is a lot more sensitive in low light conditions and indoors.
2) My cheap camera did not have enough threads on the lens mount to use either the 16mm or the 12mm lenses as both of these lenses required the lens to be completely out of the lens mounting hole to focus. The 8mm lens held in by a few threads and the others by one or two more. I suppose one could carefully hot glue a few more threads (cut from an old camera) on while using a lens to align the old and new threads.

The 2.8mm lens is what I was after most, and although it has a bit of fish eye, I think it is about what I need to fly my R/C airplane. I have (so I am told) a cmos camera with a 1/3 inch image sensor. The fish eye effect (and field of view) will be less if you have a 1/4 inch image sensor. The calculated horizontal (not the diagonal as is usually quoted) field of view for a 2.8mm lens on a 1/3inch sensor is 109 degrees. The 2.8mm lens from this set on my cheap 1/3 inch CMOS camera and displayed on my TV (cuts off even more) has less than a 90 degree field of view. The field of view for the 3.6mm was even less (so they weren't switched in the bags at least). Cliff
