Choose the blade you desire, coarse or fine. Place the cheese in the container, take your black twister top, press and turn.
Changing the blades is easy. Simply slide the clip disc and remove the installed blade. Put the desired blade onto the bottom of the inner cylinder with the sharp edges facing inwards. Then slide the clip disc back to secure blade. The clip disc also functions as a scraper to release hanging cheese strips. Reversely, if you do not want the cheese strip short, leave the clip out.
The Graty is incredibly safe since the blades are on the inside, so you cannot cut yourself.
If you have cheese remaining after you are done grating, it can be stored for later use right in the Graty. The bottom cover keeps the cheese sealed so no air can get in. Stays fresh in the refrigerator, take it out when you need it and put it back when you are done.
Instructions:
To avoid countertop scratches, place food on a level cutting board. Ensure the food fits inside the circumference of the Slap Chop. For smaller chopping needs such as nuts or chocolate, simply place the food in the base cap.
Hold the Slap Chop with one hand, then using the palm of your other hand, hot the plunger several times for your desired food size. Be sure to let the plunger return to its starting point between hits.
One of two hits will create large pieces, more chopping will produce finer results. If you are using the bse cap to create your favorite toppings, you can pour them directly from the base cap. No extra dishes to wash.
