This is an inexpensive price for the product. In most large-economy countries, such as the UK or the USA, similarly capable devices would sell for two or three times as much. It seems to be a sturdy build for its price. I modified one to charge a PDA battery, and it does a fine job of it. It will charge batteries independently, so you don't absolutely have to charge a pair at a time, which is a nice feature. It makes an odd hissing noise when plugged in and not charging a battery, and it seems to mess up the red parts of the LEDs, so don't leave it plugged in all the time. But, for its price, it seems very capable and well-made.
