The XPG light chip raises the bar for this handy little torch and increases the Lumen Output by at least 70-100 Lumen over the XRE based model. I'd estimate this is outputting around 350 Lumen. The LED is quit small and a lot hotter than the previous model and you may want to enlarge the reflector hole slightly (with a drill) to ensure all the light gets through. The smaller LED and lack of a lens makes the beam a little more floody, but it still has a reasonable spot focus. I use a pair of these for night MTBing and its more than enough even without my head mounted lights.

This shipped with a older XR-E R2 WC LED not a XPG R5 as stated. Still a nice torch though, good throw, nice white only slightly yellow, hard to use but positive feel to the switch so should last.
